  • Favorite thing about your class?
    I want clients to feel something new every time even with exercises they’ve done hundreds of times with me and want them to laugh, sweating is not that serious.
  • Favorite thing aboutMegaformer™or Pilates as a client? (Like when you take class what inspires/ motivates you)
    Music is everything.
  • Favorite type of music for class?
    Pearl Jam/ 90’s alt and Eminem combo. As an instructor, I try to mix it up to appeal to a wide scope.
  • Describe your class/ teaching style.
    Descriptive cues to the extreme & bad dad jokes!!
  • What made you want to become an instructor?
    I hated to exercise before I found Pilates. I wanted to get others to love moving in this way as much as I did.
  • Fun/ interesting fact about yourself?
    I worked on a cruise ship for two years, dancing in theatre shows. I also went to design school and learned that I couldn’t draw or design.
  • Favorite Pilates / Megaformer™ move?
    Scrambled eggs and kneeling ab crunches.
  • Did you have an “AHA” moment with Pilates or Mega? What was it?
    For sure!! When I started teaching and watching other bodies… I finally understood cues I had heard for years as a client. All of a sudden, it all made sense! My mission is to give the “AHA” moment at least once every class. Like … OMG, I get that now!”
  • What can you not live without?
    A lip mask and my family.
  • What’s a life hack you love?
    Prescheduled text messages on my iPhone
  • Favorite time of day?
    First sip of coffee.
  • What makes you happiest these days?
    Hanging with my teenagers and being home.
  • Still or Sparkling?
    Sparkling always.
  • Something you can never get sick of?
    Warm tortillas with earth-balanced vegan butter smeared all over it.
  • Guilty pleasure?
    French Fries.
  • The most fun you’ve ever had.
    Mexico City circa 2000 salsa dancing until the sun came up after a full day of shows.. sleep a few hours and repeat.
  • Best advice you’ve ever gotten?
    Life is hard. Find the humor.
  • Favorite song?
    La Isla Bonita (my daughter named after this song) and anything Eminem.
