What Dani Brings

Dani brings Pilates Blast, the Megaformer™/ Lagree Fitness™ method to Monmouth County. For over a decade, she has had the opportunity to bring the benefits of Pilates to hundreds of students from LA to NYC.

Dani discovered the profound effects of Pilates after suffering a near career ending back injury dancing with the Radio City Rockettes. Her rehabilitation included daily Pilates classes which not only eliminated her back pain through strengthening, but also transformed her body and core unlike any other exercise she had ever experienced. Inspired by these results Dani knew she discovered her next passion.

Motivated by her students dedicated to improving their overall fitness health, it is easy for Dani to love her work.

She applies her extensive knowledge of the body, her descriptive, motivational cueing, and years of Pilates experience to this new, cutting edge, future of fitness. “The best part of my job…being a part of people feeling really good about themselves!”

  • Favorite thing about your class?
    I want clients to feel something new every time even with exercises they’ve done hundreds of times with me and want them to laugh – sweating is not that serious.
  • Favorite thing about mega or pilates as a client? (Like when you take class what inspires/ motivates you) 
    Music is everything.
  • Favorite type of music for class?
    Pearl Jam/ 90’s alt and Eminem combo. As an instructor I try to mix it up to appeal to a wide scope.
  • Describe your class/ teaching style?
    Descriptive cues to the extreme & bad dad jokes!!
  • What made you want to become an instructor?
    I hated to exercise before I found pilates. I wanted to get others to love moving in this way as much as I did.
  • Fun/ interesting fact about yourself?
    I worked on a cruise ship for 2 years dancing in the theatre shows. Also went to design school and learned I couldn’t see draw or design:).
  • Favorite pilates / Mega move?
    Scrambled eggs and kneeling ab crunchs.
  • Did you have an “AHA” moment with Pilates or Mega? What was it?
    For sure!! When I started teaching and watching other bodies… I finally understood cues I had heard for years as a client.. all of the sudden it all made sense! My mission is to give the “AHA” moment at least once every class. Like … OMG – I get that now!
  • What can you not live without?
    French fries.
  • What’s a life hack you love?
    Medicated chapstick – & my family & pets obviously.
  • Favorite time of day?
    First sip of coffee.
  • What makes you happiest these days?
    Hanging with my teenagers and being home.
  • Still or Sparkling?
    Sparkling always.
  • Something you can never get sick of?
    Warm tortillas w/ earths balance vegan butter smeared all over it.
  • Guilty pleasure?
    Gilmore Girls.
  • Most fun you’ve ever had.
    Mexico City circa 2000 salsa dancing until the sun came up after full day of shows.. sleep a few hours and repeat.
  • Best advice you’ve ever gotten?
    Life is hard find the humor.
  • Favorite song?
    La isla Bonita (my daughter named after this song) and anything Eminem.
