Wicked smart, Mega Energized

Kristin and PB found each other right at Pilates Blast’s basement beginnings. After a sabbatical where she switched from PB instructor to PB client, she’s now back (*cue the confetti*) to impart her wisdom as a Certified Holistic Health Coach and flex her experience on the Megaformer.

Kristin wants her clients to feel connected to the work they’re doing on the Mega. She fully champions self-love in all aspects of life, in fitness and beyond.

  • Favorite thing about your class?
    Getting to meet and get to know my clients. They’re my favorite part about teaching!
  • Favorite thing about mega or pilates as a client? (Like when you take class what inspires/ motivates you) 
    The slow movements help me feel in-control and remind me that I am getting stronger every class. I also always feel challenged no matter how often I workout!
  • Favorite type of music for class?
    I Love EDM or anything I can sing and dance to.
  • Describe your class/ teaching style?
    Supportive and intuitive – I want you to do what feels good for your specific body, but know I’m here for you when you want that extra challenge.
  • What made you want to become an instructor?
    My love for this exercise, as well as my absolute passion to help everyone I meet to feel their best.
  • Fun/ interesting fact about yourself?
    I am working to become more proficient at speaking Spanish, and then Italian is next!
  • Favorite pilates / Mega move?
    I love a single leg deadlift – give me that booty work !
  • Did you have an “AHA” moment with Pilates or Mega? What was it?
    When I realized that I could find an effective workout without “pumping iron” with entirely way too much weight. I used to get injured all the time at my old workouts, but not here.
  • What can you not live without?
    Water and snacks nearby at all times. No one is hangry over here.
  • What’s a life hack you love?
    Fill a nice big glass of water before bed and place on your nightstand. The next morning before you do anything else, finish the glass. Hydrating after a long night’s rest will immediately put a spring in your step, and you’ll be that much closer to your water goal for the day..
  • Favorite time of day?
    Early mornings, before anyone else is up, alway get me .
  • What makes you happiest these days?
    Hanging with my family and friends, watching my toddler become a real human.
  • Still or Sparkling?
    Both.
  • Something you can never get sick of?
    High-waisted jeans and also Spindrift.
  • Guilty pleasure?
    Definitely ice cream.
  • Most fun you’ve ever had.
    Traveling – I cannot pick just one trip but whether it’s with my husband, family, or friends, I always have an amazing time!
  • Best advice you’ve ever gotten?
    To slow down and try to be more present. All too often we are worried about what’s happening later, tomorrow, next week and we miss what’s happening right in front of us.
  • Favorite song?
    Under Pressure – Queen and David Bowie.
